583394 2007-08-21 06:58:00 Yes, a real easy one - but I'm having a mushy-brain day.

My sister says she's received 8 email photos which her Nero Photosnap Viewer won't open. I gather it used to work.
The error message implies (to me - at a distance) it's a corruption in her temp files/profile.

I know nothing about Nero. My Windows Picture & Fax Viewer opens my email pix. As I don't have a digital camera, it's all I've needed.
We both have Picasa2 also, but I just park pix there.

As we both have XP, it seems logical to simply change her default viewer to Windows? Well, it's a start, anyway....

But do you think I can locate the button..?

I said it was a mushy-brain day...

Edit: Forgot to say the email program is Outlook Express

Unfortunately you did not mention the extension on the photo. Therefore I can not help at this time. xxx.raw, xxx.bmp etc.

File extentions are important. Files are opened using file associations. This using the application for the file.

The Email client is unimportant.

Can your Sister forward the Email to you and can you the open the attachments?

Thanks for the extension reminder, Sweep.
I gather they are jpg.

And getting her to forward is a very good idea - which I should've thought of myself.
I think she's out tonight, but she'll find that request from me next time she logs on.

Yep Laura

File extentions are important. We could use any amount of applications to open a file. *.jpg can be opened by quite a number of applications.

As I use a number of applications I usually right click and choose "Open with" You can make whatever you choose the default if you desire.

Have you got to your dessert yet? Email me a treacle pudding on a 3.5" floppy.
