| 582805 | 2007-08-23 20:28:00 | Glad to see that you got it going. Do you see the same results for both PC's, or just one? There's not much chance that the router will be slowing down your internet connection, as it's designed for 100Mbps traffic, and I doubt your DSL service will give you more than 8Mbps max (unless you're lucky enough to get ADSL2 in your area at 24Mbps). A really good router might make a noticeable difference if you had a lot of PC's connected on the LAN side sharing the connection, but for just 2, nah. Do you see a difference between the PC when it was just hooked up to the Embarq modem and the same PC hooked up via the Belkin router? |

What do you see at www.speedtest.net Can you switch back to the Embarq modem on its own & compare?. Note that you may want to do a few runs each time to average out your results. You shouldn't see a significant difference to running through the Belkin router. |
