| 584161 | 2007-08-24 02:50:00 | Yahoo can't forward a copy of my mail to another server; I used to forward a copy of my mail to my Gmail and have been doing it for a long time! After removing this pop forwarding, I am now able to receive my mail again! Now if you'd included that you were forwarding :D I was also caught by that forwarding to another Yahoo acct . If you prefer the Gmail look you could have left it as is and downloaded from Gmail to outlook . |

| 584162 | 2007-08-24 05:45:00 | Laugh of the week, I just got an e-mail from Xtra today to my personal account (after finding out that some of my mail sent through my totally separate business account wasn't getting through) It went bla bla... "We have noticed that you have unsuccessfully attempted to send email via Xtra over the last couple of days. It may be that your settings have been changed incorrectly or have stopped working and are therefore causing these problems." It then links to a page... and then another page that has new settings that 'should' resolve the problems. Problem 1: I changed to these settings for my personal account a week ago, thanks to PF1 and my personal account has been working fine for a week. Problem 2: It is my business acount (officemail) where the mail I send is getting lost... and yes, I changed the settings for that one over a month ago when I got the e-mail from Xtra. Should I wait another week to see if they send me an e-mail saying "We have noticed that none of your e-mails have not been delivered and you are no longer in business because of it. Would you like us to try to fix the problem?" Heck, maybe it would be more fun to sit on the phone for a few hours so that I can eventually abuse a human. These guys are up there with Parallel Imported, maybe they live in the same bubble  |

| 584164 | 2007-08-24 08:45:00 | I'm still retaining my Outlook's outgoing mail setting as: smtp.xtra.co.nz and didn't change any settings at all (and is now working fine), but the sub-account has to change to send.xtra.co.nz as advised. I really fail to understand what are they (Telecom) trying to achieve? Or, maybe, they (top management) have nothing else better to do! |

| 584165 | 2007-08-25 22:20:00 | I previously had everything running on secure, as I had secure remote email service setup, so naturally, since the new instructions said to use these ports (465, 995), I didn't bother changing anything. I have now fixed all my email problems by putting everything back to how it was about 2 years ago, no secure connections, authentication or alternative ports. |
