584343 2007-08-24 22:30:00 I've just ventured into downloading music by joining DigiRAMA. I'm having a number of issues with the whole thing.

Firstly, I can't burn them to a cd or sync them to my MP3 player because Vista is telling me that I haven't been granted licenses for them. That's not the case because I've reinstalled their software and downoaded the licenses again I don't think I can do any more than that.

The second thing is that even if I just play them on my computer they jump or skip (like a record player being bumped) near the end of each song.

Is this a common thing with music downloading?

Cheers

584347 2007-08-24 23:18:00 Ahh I see, thanks for that.
The media usage Rights for each song I've downloaded says I can burn it up to 50 times and sync it up to 125 times so I'm not sure if that is the reason.

584348 2007-08-25 01:11:00 It may have something to do with Vista, I've paid and downloaded / burnt plenty from DigiRAMA - no problems, I was using XP.

Since you paid for them, you can redownload again from DigiRAMA. I'll try it on my Vista PC and let you know if there was any problems.

584349 2007-08-25 03:05:00 OK update to above - There appears to be some thing in your PC thats not quite right.
I redownloaded from DigiRAMA, and they were DRM protected. I loaded the music into Windows Media Palyer, and played several songs all sounded OK. - No jumping, skipping etc.

Make sure you use Windows Media Player, as the DRM I think is some how tied into it.

Tried to convert to MP3 from WMA format, but wouldn't allow.

Using Windows Media Player, burned the whole album to CD to play on normal house hold CD player, plays fine.

If you want to rip to MP3 from the burnt CD it actually gives you the choice to remove the DRM if you want in settings (nice of MS).

This then allows the MP3 files to be played on any other MP3 device. If you download the files from one PC then transfer to another for burning etc it wont work as the licence is on the original PC.

Legal Issue:This is for your own use, and of course is illegal to resell or upload to the internet / file sharing.

Try redownloading the Music you purchased, it will be in your account in DigiRAMA , wont cost you anything apart from some download usage.

It's only common with online music stores that use Microsoft's DRM and .wma format. I have been buying a bit of stuff from iTunes music store with no problems at all. The only problem I have is that it is too easy to buy music.
