584324 2007-08-24 20:43:00 Hi,

We moved location & got connected to xtra as ISP . Running exchange server 2003, smtp configured to send email on port 25 . Domain (domain . co . nz)is hosted by Clear, but pointed the mx records to new xtra static ip .

currently emails not sending or receiving . I came to tht know xtra blocks port 25 .

Is there a way around it ? Can xtra open port 25 ?

Need help . . .

You can opt out of port25 filtering here selfservice.xtra.co.nz

584327 2007-08-26 22:09:00 You can opt out of port25 filtering here . xtra . co . nz/live/selfservice/serviceprofile/OpenPort25" target="_blank">selfservice . xtra . co . nz

As racepics has said the only way to unblock port 25 is via the xtra website . co . nz/help/0,,13904,00 . html" target="_blank">xtra . co . nz . They will not do it over the phone, thats what I was told anyway .

I wasn't having any trouble when I opted out of port 25 filtering, I decide to opt out before problems started .

As per my other post in the other thread I explained my setup and not having any trouble as of yet .

On the smtp connector in Exchange are you using DNS to route or forward mail through the connector?

Also under protocols/smtp I have the smarthost as smtp . xtra . co . nz .

As I said in my other post I am forcing all smtp traffic to smtp . xtra . co . nz . This is also enforced by a firewall only allowing outbound port 25 to the xtra smtp server IP address .
