2007-08-22 09:55:00 | Somehow I picked up the above trojan horse, actually 38 instances of it! AVG found them and put them in the virus vault. My question is, should I now delete these files, or should I just leave them in the vault. AVG talks about healing them at a later date, but from what I read they cannot be healed. So yeah... what to do?

2007-08-22 10:47:00 | Interesting. My AVG has just popped up saying I had a trojan called Generic6.ums | Sam's Dad (11848) | |
2007-08-22 19:31:00 | Thats really odd. I "picked up" my generic6.umu on a vista laptop that at this stage only goes online to search for updates to Vista. So the odds for both of us getting the same one almost at the same time must be rather large. Anyway I will delete my generic.umu's today!

2007-08-23 01:04:00 | From what I've seen its only AVG thats detecting it as a bug ? | wainuitech (129) | |
2007-08-23 03:28:00 | Ah, the plot thickens - yeah AVG in my case. But I've used AVG for many years now and never had this before. Anyway... my "collection" of 38 Trojen Horse generic6.umu have been banished forever.

2007-08-23 10:14:00 | How many of you are installing the Bioshock demo or the full game itself. I do not mean the one downloaded from STEAM either. It picks it up in the setup.exe file. I had this exact problem. But I updated AVG and it is gone. I think it might be to do with Securom from what I've read.

2007-08-23 22:56:00 | Had 3 people call yesterday with this problem. I just told them to be thankful AVG doesn't detect system files as viruses like nortons does, otherwise they would have a bit more on their hands. Does anyone know exactly what it was AVG was supposedly detecting? | wratterus (105) | |
