585032 2007-08-27 03:45:00 Can anyone help me im working ona system and i for the life of me can not figure out why it is connecting to any isp i give it but not trademe its irking hte hell outa me i did a ping test to trademes host site and got a reply back so the pc itself is fine in sending packets to trademe but the IE page aint comeing up displayed, i thought it might be a domain issue ie: .co.nz but every other website challanged returns fine..........im real stuck on this and would aprecieate any feed back if at all possible

OS: winxp
SP: Service pack 2
ram: 1gig ddr400
Proc: athalon 3000xp
all standard checks applied ie : virus scans and spyware system is as clean as i can have it without a full rebuild

tests done: Tryd all the security and block features for eery application linked with and including IE, Ping'd www.trademe.co.nz and recieved back packets as fast as i sent em out (minus the 2second delay) still can not figure out the issue thsi silly Artec ARCHE system has with loading trademe the only thing i was wondering (beside the fact i should quit as a sys tech) is that maybye trade me is somehow blocking this systems component id (cant be ip as teh system is at my workplace with our ip and the rest of the network we run sees trademe fine)

as i said ANY ideas to break my stilled mind would be mostly appreciated

Thanks

Might be a good idea to start a new thread that way people are more likely to check it . Also helps if you use correct grammar and spelling . Most regular poster wont even read a post if its difficult to read ;)

Ark <ftw.net.nz>My first check would be to try a different browser, just to see if it's an IE problem, or some weird network issue.

585035 2007-08-27 06:24:00 I am using WinXP Pro, with Firefox 2.0.0.6 (Adblock turned on; 3rd party cookies turned off), Sygate Personal Firewall Pro and NOD32 antivirus.

No probs connecting with TradeMe yesterday or today. Recommend you try personthingy's suggestion.

585036 2007-08-27 06:29:00 It might be worth checking to see if TradeMe has been added to the blocked list . Bozo (8540)
585037 2007-08-27 07:57:00 A bit late for this, but in future creating a second account in XP that is fully patched, this could be used for testing if it is system wide, just your account, or the network plod (107)
585038 2007-08-27 09:26:00 as i said ANY ideas

585040 2007-08-28 01:05:00 I assume you've tried resetting the IE settings to defaults, clearing out cache/history/SSL slate etc? wratterus (105)
