| 584989 | 2007-08-27 04:54:00 | Can someone please help. I have just brought a Acer Aspire 7720g Laptop that came with Vista. After using vista for a few weeks I decided I can't stand it and wanted my XP back. I have formatted the drive and went to install XP. Everything went fine loading XP ready to install and then a message come up saying that it couldn't find any hard drive installed. Seams I need to install the SATA drivers as XP didn't come out with them. Can someone please help and let me know where I can get the SATA drivers from for XP and how to install them with out a floppy or will a floppy attached via USB still work ok. Please help as this lappy has just turnned into an expensive paper weight:help: | Pup (12731) | ||

| 584993 | 2007-08-27 05:45:00 | Looks like there are XP drivers available from here (www.acerpanam.com) I had the same problem with my new Acer. The easiest way I found was to make an XP CD, using nLite, with the SATA/AHCI drivers integrated. |

Then at the end it'll make an ISO (If you selected the ISO option previously) Then you burn the ISO, thats your slipstreamed windows cd. It tells you everything on the Nlite site |
