2007-08-26 00:27:00 | Not much else u can do then, if u cant get into normal windows/safe mode or last known good config. Besides putting the hdd on a working system and scanning it, checking it to see why it wont boot, or formatting it. What does it do wihen u try booting into any of them?? Does it just hang? Did you delete IE's folder, or uninstall IE 7?? If u deleted the folder, it most probably deleted window files as well. NOT a good idea to delete folders, without uninstalling the program FIRST.

Anyway, when you say the pc will not boot up, what does it do exactly? Any error messages? |

2007-08-26 01:39:00 | See if you can beg, steal or borrow a windows XP CD from some one if you dont have one yourself. Run chkdsk from the CD Here (kb.wisc.edu) is how to do it, hopefully it will repair any damaged system files to at least allow you to enter windows in safe mode and do a proper repair. You can also try making a boot floppy if the Laptop has one, this bypasses the boot files on XP Here (support.microsoft.com)

2007-08-26 02:02:00 | If you dont have a windows XP CD, then download This (www.webtree.ca) 4.46Mb Its the boot section of the XP CD that will allow you to enter you current system and run chkdsk. Unzip it then You will need to burn the ISO Image to a cd, if you dont have an image burner, one is located in my Sig below. As long as you can get back into windows, even in safe mode then others here will hopefully be able to help in getting your laptop going again. Good Luck

2007-08-26 04:49:00 | Change to Mozilla Firefox. That will fix your problem  Also, I agree with the above, why were you using th beta 3 of IE7 when the full version is already out?

2007-08-26 05:08:00 | [Quoted] Pc does boot up in normal mode but nothing works at all.As I said before it doesn't boot up in any safe mode config so I could try to reinstall ie7 files.[End] When it boots in normal mode and nothing works what do you get on the screen, EG: desktop but no icons, desktop blank, every thing there, but freezing/frozen? It sounds like theres system file problems.? You can also try this: its longish------- Lets try to run restore and bring it back to a working system-- Hope this works, if not then it may be non distruct reinstall time. You mentioned you couldn't get into any safe mode config - did you try this one? Try booting into "safe mode with command prompt" Select the windows operating system Log onto Administrator Type in the following command C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui Press Enter, hopefully after a few moments the restore window will open and you can then wind back the system to BEFORE you uninstalled IE7, that way at least the system will be working again. If that doesn't work there is a few more things I can think of, but try the above first.
