| 584631 | 2007-08-26 06:59:00 | Ok the system has missing files alright. Try running chkdsk again, but this time use the switch like this chkdsk /f it may take a while to run through. Normally with a system like that I would run ERD commander in the workshop which has many repair tools included, but its not free and expensive to purchase for a single fix. Unless someone else can think of any thing else to try, then you may have to do a Non - Distruct reinstall, and even this might not work 100%. This reinstalls windows main files, and is meant to leave your data/programs alone (I say meant to as sometimes it wipes out every thing). Once its back up and going, I'd suggest leaving the Beta software alone, as its softwrae that may cause problems as you have found out. Or be prepared for any trouble if you do install it. |
