| 585949 | 2007-08-29 10:22:00 | I have recently added a new 400gig ide HD with Vista Business to my desktop and moved some files from my older HD's (still connected) to the new drive now I can't find them!! With XP I would search for the file extensions and 'Voila' it jog my memory. But it seems that the new Vista search system relies on an indexing system based on past searches so that if I search now they don't show and I know I haven't deleted them!!?? What gives?? | mcjelly (3439) | ||

I would doubt you have discovered a vital flaw in the search utility. There is also an advanced mode that will give another search vector e.g. date. | linw (53) | ||
