I'm not to sure how a hosts file works, I thought it just stopped the adds from loading or something? How do I delete the millions and leave the local hosts in there? |

| 585496 | 2007-08-28 10:41:00 | First backup with SpywareBlaster then delete all except localhost with Spybot then backup again with SpywareBlaster so you can always get back to the original if I am talking out of my hat. If there are problems we can make a new one with Notepad but it is a while since I have done that so have patience if we go down that path. Don't forget to backup, you can make multiple ones with Spywareblaster |

| 585498 | 2007-08-28 10:44:00 | Well you could just try taking out the ones that seem to relate to the Herald as a first step There is a possibility that you or someone has added entries to the Hosts file to block ads as you say but now one of them is stopping the Herald because they have changed their site. Some people do block site ads using this method. |
