| 586016 | 2007-08-30 09:55:00 | Personally, if it was me, i would be partitioning a 80Gb for OS and all program and game installs. and the rest of your 400gb hdd for storage. I find it pretty pointless have your OS and game installs on different partitions. Its only during the rare case of complete OS failure, that this would be a problem. but then this may be an issue for those of you who format your hdd at the first sign of trouble lol - this thread was kinda along those lines. pressf1.co.nz |

| 586019 | 2007-09-02 07:21:00 | I have 2x300GB set up as RAID0 array. Have a Primary partition for XP, A Primary for Vista (One is hidden when the other is in use). Use the primary for the OS only. The rest is formated into various sized partitions. D is setup as a small one for the pagefile only and set to fill it up. Never gets fragmented that way. E is for Apps, F for various bits, G for games and such, and H is setup to be whatever is left over and is used for pictures, etc. - Does not matter how big your drive is you will always fill it up sooner or later |
