| 586457 | 2007-08-30 22:11:00 | I'm trying to connect my laptop(Vista home premium) to my Desktop (XP home) and want to know the easiest way to do it.. a few things tho..the laptop is wireless the PC is'nt i just put my old LAN card in (baystack21) thinking this might be helpfull but cant find the drivers for it anywhere The local area Connection network cable says it is unplugged,yet in device manager it says this device is working properly.. You might have guessed i'm stumbling around in the dark here ,any help appreciated Thanks |

The cable unplugged means its not configured between XP and Vista. The drivers for the onboard LAN are installed. If u dont have an ethernet hub, u need a crossover cable. You may need this (www.microsoft.com) for XP as well. |
