OK me again. The latest problem is when I turn the computer on the monitor standby light comes on but then the monitor wont turn itself on so I can see the screen. If I push the reset button then restart it goes good as gold. |

Sounds as if your computer is having a problem booting up rather than your monitor, could be several things (ram, video card, power supply unit (PSU), motherboard etc); we need more details, any error codes when it does boot up?, computer specs? |

When you press the power button, are you getting any POST "beep" either the first time, or on the restart & Have you ever had the Beep ( some PC's dont have the speaker active) |

We havent put the wee 'beep' unit in as it made a very staticy noise when we fitted it so we removed it. No error codes it goes good as gold.Motherboard Asus M2N-MX SE, Athlon 64 x 2 4000, 1 g Transcend Ram (its an Ascent Combo) New Antec PSU |
