586216 2007-08-30 07:06:00 Yeah, I've just had this problem myself and was sitting on the phone on hold when I spotted your post. All my emails to @ihug are bouncing back. Jen (38)

586218 2007-08-30 07:20:00 Well, I just got a test email to be delivered OK, so maybe they have it sorted now.

Email problems with ihug are nothing new. They have had worse problems than xtra in the past, including losing emails. They are not an ISP I would use if email was importent to my business.

As well as that they don't have any option to disable the spam filter or even give the option to view in a spam folder the messages they have filtered out.

586221 2007-08-30 09:30:00 If you are unhappy with your ISP's mail facillity then I would suggest you look at getting your own domain with mail features. I am with RegisterDirect and I can have 10 e-mail addresses. Never had any lost e-mail and they let you know when they are having problems which is rare.
You still need your ISP to send e-mails (or another smtp connection) but at least that tells you it fails when you send it.

I would second that in terms of getting your own domain and setting up your email with a proper host. That way it is also portable. Many people stick with their ISP, because it is too much hassle to change the email address, and then they complain when their ISP has problems. ISP emails address tend to be more unreliable than any other system.
