| 586021 | 2007-08-29 14:08:00 | I just bought a new Dell Inspirion 1520 and try to connect to the internet through my Netgear WPN824 wireless router. I can connect to the router and it gets a wireless connection i.e. I can access the router settings through explorer but I cannot create an internet connection. Is there something basic I am missing? I connect through an old laptop using the USB WPN111 on XP and it works but not on the new laptop with Vista. Thanks in advance for your help. |

Also, can you ping any websites such as www.herald.co.nz etc or can you just ping the router. You can also try running the diagnostic built in which is surprisingly good first and see if that indicates anything. |
