| 585438 | 2007-08-28 05:17:00 | Does anyone have a method of deleting Xtramail from a computer without deleting the Xtra line connection? I've changed my email address and now wish to dispose of my Xtramail box whose presence annoys me because it just fills with spam! I suspect that I'm not the only one disenchanted with Xtramail at the moment!:rolleyes: | Xam (11850) | ||
| 585439 | 2007-08-28 05:36:00 | To make sure we are talking about the same thing, you wish to delete your Xtra mail account from Outlook or Outlook Express to stop it downloading messages? | Jen (38) | ||
| 585440 | 2007-08-28 10:04:00 | Thankyou Jen - a good point! No, I only want to delete Xtramail from Outlook Express.:confused: | Xam (11850) | ||
| 585441 | 2007-08-29 05:35:00 | if you want to delete the Xtramail account from Outlook Express... Open Outlook Express, click on 'tools' button at the top then click on 'accounts' in the drop down menu and you will see a window with tabs. Click on the 'mail' tab then you will see your Xtra account (and any other mail accounts you have). Click on the xtra account to highlight it then click on the 'remove' button. This will delete the account completely and if you want to use it again you will have to put in all your details again. If you just want to delete messages that you have received from your Xtra mail account in Outlook Express... click on your in box then click on the message that you want to delete to highlight it. If you can't see the in box click on the 'outlook express' bar (right under the 'creat mail' button) and you will see a list of your accounts/folders. Once you highlight the message you want to delete you can right-click on it to show a menu then click on the 'delete' in the menu. Note: this does not permanently delete the message, it is still in your 'trash' folder until you go into the trash folder and delte it again. |
