| 586554 | 2007-09-04 21:45:00 | meh, don't get a Dell. No offence to you dell users, but i have used Dell lcd and havn't been overly impressed. Recommendations: Phillips and Acer. Was it an Ultrasharp model? I've got a Dell & it's damn nice. I guess it all depends on what you want to do with it. For me photo editing, movies & games were important and the Dell was highly regarded in the reviews I saw. If you want the best screen (if you can find one in NZ), get an NEC. Best screens for gaming seem to be the Samsungs or Viewsonics. Avoid el cheapos like Chimei & AOC. |

| 586555 | 2007-09-06 08:07:00 | Monitor arived - 2 weeks ahead of their timetable. Its wonderful! I totally recommend it, the space alone is insane to have, almost 2 17"crts wide, and 1 1/2 high. Great color with it, although it took a bit of work getting it balanced right. |

No doubt Dell are bringing out some really nice LCD's now - it was probably about a year ago I was using the Dell ae (gosh time flies these days!) |
