586990 2007-09-02 02:00:00 Hi there Speedy,
When running Trojan Remover, C:\windows\system32\mmsvc32.exe and C:\windows\system32\spools.exe keep popping up.
Can I remove these with TR, or is it better to run HJT and tick thr entries there (I haven't run HJT, but guess they will show up?), or are these best removed through the registry ( as suggested on a few Google searches)?
As always, your help is invaluable. Thanks.

586991 2007-09-02 02:11:00 Go to the folders theyre in right mouse and select scan with TR.

If you gives u an option, to delete it, delete / select it.

TR not only scans the registry when u click on scan within the main program, it can also scan folders / directories / files as well.

BTW, TR has just been updated to 6.6.2. I would get the update, and then scan the whole hdd.

If you reboot does TR pick them up after you reboot?? Thats if the bootscan is enabled?

586992 2007-09-02 02:28:00 Thanks Speedy, Yes, they were coming up everytime the PC was restarted.
I have downloaded the latest TR and will have a play next time I'm on that PC.
BTW, The PC obviously has an ealier version of TR which I loaded last weekend. If I install the new version, does that revert to a new 30 day trial, or carry on with the remainder of the earlier version trial?

586993 2007-09-02 02:48:00 Well I would delete them if TR gives u an option. I think the first one belongs to a worm!

I wouldnt wait till next time. Umm, I'm not sure if it restarts the 30 day trial or not, if you install the update over the previous version.

I'm a registered user, so my version doesnt run out.
