1419021 2016-04-13 02:06:00 I found that the Windows 10 fast boot is a nuisance when you wish to fully shut down, but do not want to restart.
I use Hibernation instead.
What is the point of Windows fast boot?

1419022 2016-04-13 02:52:00 In basic terms its a hybrid boot or hybrid Shutdown. Meaning windows doesn't really shut down even though it looks like it has. Its meant to make the computers start faster.

But a lot of the time its also the cause of many problems. Just lately I've been disabling it by default, mainly because it causes startup problems like the black screen with only a mouse Cursors.

Tracked down several Laptops doing this, start in safe mode, and edit the registry to disable it, then on reboot everything starts normally and as it should. You cant untick it in the settings in safe mode as the option is not there, only when windows is running normally, BUT if its black screening and the graphics are stuck-- Well catch 22 :)

1419023 2016-04-13 07:08:00 I am dual booting with Puppy Linux and the 'C' partition is always mounted which can be a nuisance if I want to access some files, so I use hibernation most of the time & Shutdown instead of Restart. I haven't had any booting problems as described by you wainuitech mzee (3324)

Wont quote what was written, even though obvious its spam, the person who posted obviously doesn't know a lot other wise why would they have to ask their friends ? :D Another question: if a person is having internet problems then how could any online help be given - it would require a physical call ;)
