1418754 2016-04-07 09:46:00 Have finally decided to upgrade my main PC from Win8.1 to Win10.

I have got a 128 GB SSD (boot) and 1 x 1TB and 1 x 2TB HDD both data storage.

Question: Is it necessary to disconnect my 2 data drives first or it's safe to leave them connected?

Cheers

Read about people who have secondary drives still attached causing problems. As long as there are no programs linked to the larger drives there shouldn't be a problem to just plug them back in afterwards. BUT make a backup image of the main drive FIRST - just in case it all turns pear shaped.

Also , depending on your antivirus, either make sure its the latest version, OR even uninstall it then put it back afterwards.
