I need a direct download link for the software if anyone has it the office.com/myacount page just isnt working today (times out). Just another headache to sort out . Bloody MS, why make this so hard, it just p8sses people off. cheers |

| 1418436 | 2016-03-31 22:40:00 | I've got the installer here, but you still need to register the key to the MS account, and if you're reinstalling the software, then you'd need to de-register it from the account first, so the standalone installer may not be of much help. I've just logged into my account and it all seems fine. I've used their live chat several times with this issue in the past and if you just ask them to register your key to a specific account, they can do that for you. |

From google, looks like its just a MS thing, download page doesnt allways load , just sits there . Others have the same issue with exact message, looks like its a matter of waiting for however long for the website to work again. Live chat. ha , what a joke. They told me twice the keycard no wasnt valid ( I had it in my hand & checked it 4x , MS Office.com even accepted the keycard no) There suggestion was to clear cookies (this is on a brand new PC) Sorry, Im just ranting now, I needed this installed today (now), not whenever . Bloody MS, just give us a direct download link like with 2010. Its not as if we can use it without a vaild key. :mad: :badpc: :badpc: |

| 1418439 | 2016-04-01 01:34:00 | You wont get a direct link from MS, you have to sign into your account first www.office.com Once you sign in there will be the install option. The Card you have is not actually the product key, its only a authorize key that then gives you the real product key. Had the download problem earlier this week when installing on a Laptop, for some reason it didn't like any other browser than EDGE - once I used that it logged in instantly. |

Today (Monday) its all working 100% . Logged in, downloaded & installed . Obviously an issue at MS's end :badpc: :mad: Good to know that I cant rely on MS's new Office 2016 Install system to work when its needed (eg when onsite & needs to be installed then and there) Strangely, the keycard says "Product Key" , when on the MS site the "Product Key" for that keycard is another different key, in guess thats the install key ? So why call them both "Product Key " When you download a "Burn To CD" option, is the product/install key embedded in the download , or would I need to use that 2nd key off the website (I assume)? |
