| 1418394 | 2016-03-30 03:46:00 | I've just installed Safari for Windows because I need to check whether a web page is rendering correctly everywhere. It is not normally active. Today I got an Apple Updater message wanting to do an "Apple Software update" and also to install icloud and Quicktime. I'd like to stop this happening, but how is the updater being initiated? It does not show in any of the startup items in msconfig. |

| 1418395 | 2016-03-30 03:58:00 | Doing a bit of research -- Apple stopped producing Safari for windows years ago, 2014 I found. Being that Apple are the developers, then there will be the updater embedded in it. That happens every time I open ITunes, damn thing wants to update icloud for windows, and iTunes its self. Just downloaded safari, so I'll have a play when I can to see where its doing it thing :) |

What is the default Apple browser now (apart from, in the case of my Galas, Rosellas) :) |

What is the default Apple browser now (apart from, in the case of my Galas, Rosellas) :) Answering this ass about face :D -- Its still going for MAC, but not Windows, looking on the inter-web thingy :p Apple stopped sometime around 2012 for the windows Version. As for what's running, could be Bonjour causing the problem - just checked on this W10, has ITunes ( only apple software, and its not open) and the service is running in Task manger en.wikipedia.org software (en.wikipedia.org) 7071 From Wikipedia Bonjour can also be installed onto computers running Microsoft Windows. Bonjour components may also be included within other software such as iTunes and Safari. |
