1413538 2015-12-29 05:51:00 Mr Kilmister of Motorhead and previous to that Hawkwind has passed on aged 70, more www.stuff.co.nz (www.stuff.co.nz)

I saw both of these bands perform back in the 80's when they were touring the UK. Motorhead were at the time officially the loudest band in the world according to the Guinness book of records

Who said I was just talking just about the old bands in question. The loud versus quality rule still applies with todays music. Probably more so! Most of todays music is just shite.

1413544 2015-12-30 01:54:00 I have never been a Motorhead fan, but was given a free ticket and saw them at the St James some years back. Really enjoyed the show and was surprised how many Motorhead songs I do actually know. They were one of the pioneers of modern hard rock & metal so even for those like myself who are not fans, their influence is still felt. It's sad when people die, but I'm not sure it's any sadder because they were famous or had fans. dugimodo (138)
