| 1413285 | 2015-12-23 07:14:00 | Why do "justice" systems take so long? He was arrested years ago now! The guy that killed the two WINZ workers is only going to trial next year! |

| 1413287 | 2015-12-23 09:02:00 | Like it or not, and love him or hate him, Dotcom has the absolute right to appeal the latest decisions. Justice must not just 'be done', it must be seen to be done, and I'll lay odds that there is not one member of this forum who would object to their nearest and dearest lodging an appeal to a Higher Court, against a decision made in a lower Court, if they truly believed there was any doubt as to the defendant's culpability. That is why we have the High Court and a Supreme Court (and I was opposed to the abolition of access to the Privy Council in the UK, which cost the NZ Taxpayer nothing apart from the travel costs and legal fees of the appellant's lawyer if subsidised by the Government). The Privy Council constituted the finest legal minds in the English speaking world, and the decisions thay have handed down over centuries have had a significant impact on our current legal environment. We should not allow our legal rights to be eroded and our human rights crippled, regardless of who was the defendant or what criminal act is alleged. In any case taken to the Privy Council (or now the Supreme Court) and whether won or lost, we all gain from clarification of our legal rights and obligations as each case creates new precedents or strengthens existing precedents. Lynching went out of fashion a long time ago, as did red-necks, summary 'justice', and prejudging outcomes. For a number of years I worked as a lay advocate in the Employment Courts, and some of my cases went to the High Court where precedents were made that some of you may well be enjoying today. It is not over until it is over. Billy |

| 1413288 | 2015-12-23 09:57:00 | The whole Dotcom saga is despicable. Dotcom was tricked into becoming a NZ resident purely so he would remain here so that the Jews of Hollywood could take legal action against him. The whole thing was set up by John Keys who is a lackey of the United States of America. The raid on his 'mansion' was totally illegal, orchestrated by the FBI and carried out by a puppet Police force. Next thing we will be admitting American Nuclear ships into NZ waters and eventually become another State of America, the number one terrorists on the World. The whole Dotcom legal action should be dropped, and an apology made to him. |
