1413442 2015-12-30 21:15:00 I see you have had a hunt on Play store for those dragon apps. I had a look too, and there are apps there that could perhaps be associated with apps with those names, except for dragon phone. There are a shedload of things called dragon age for example, which could lead to dragonaging as a name.

It then struck me - could you possibly have a refurbished model, or a model that someone has used as a shop or demonstrator model? Someone may have done a factory reset or uninstall of a dragon app, with the main app being removed but the rubbish being left behind? The only way to check this out I guess would be to find out if those 3 apps are on other examples of your tablet. If they aren't, you might have some interesting questions to pose to your retailer!

1413443 2015-12-30 21:40:00 I did a search and found that a lot of people have been asking questions about two of the dragon apps, particularly in relation to tablets, some of which are of Chinese manufacture.

The most authoritative answer seemed to come from here: deerbrookelectronics.com/pages/support

Q: What is the app DragonFire and/or DragonPhone? Why do they have "Permissions" listed to do anything?

A: These are apps created by Allwinner, a processor manufacturer. They are used during production for quality control and testing. They can be deleted with no impact to the function of the tablet. They will return upon a factory reset, as they are part of the firmware. The extensive "permissions" granted by Android are necessary to ensure proper testing of all the tablet functions. These apps pose no security risk and are not used in any way after production.

1413444 2015-12-30 22:19:00 It should have been new it was sealed. But your last post is right, they'll (the dragon apps), come back if you do a factory reset

Well I wouldn't call them apps. Because apps have icons. These 3 whatever they're for didn't have icons. But all 3 were under settings / apps. Yup, There's quite a few apps with dragon in them in the store, but these aren't games

Unisurf rang me yesterday twice. The -505 error, they tried to update ES file manager, and got the same error.

So, that's good I won't be the only one who wont be able to update it

I did tell Warehouse Stationery on FB what I found / did.

They said. Thanks for your comment and insight. We will pass this on the correct team to look into it for future tablets. Thanks
