| 1418729 | 2016-04-06 23:18:00 | 4 Days isn't long enough to learn the ins and outs of a new OS, she should give it a couple weeks and then decide. Also most of the differences are cosmetic and if that's all that she "hates" then you could install one of the menu replacement programs that will make it look like 7. Personally I'd just learn how to deal with the new menu structure though. classicshell.net/ https: In any case if this is it www.asus.com then there are drivers for 64 bit windows 7 only so that's the version she'll need a licence for. If she is set on installing 7 tell her to find someone local to do it, anything you can do is bound to end badly. |

| 1418730 | 2016-04-06 23:25:00 | But Win8 was crap. :D Win10 is so much better. Well people are entitled to like whatever they want, but 8 and 10 are practically the same. A few tweaks to the start menu and some improvements under the hood. You can also configure 10 to act the way 8.1 does and make them look even more alike. Personally I think people are too quick to label things they don't like as crap. It's not the same thing. Windows Me was crap, windows 8 was unpopular. One is buggy and prone to crashing, the other is stable and functional but wasn't well received due to the way it looked. It's like saying a pink Toyota is crap but red ones are so much better, they look different but both do the same job. |

| 1418731 | 2016-04-06 23:35:00 | As I said support for win7 is disappearing so she will have issues in the future if she stays with it. . Given just how many Win7 PC's are out there in the workplace, I would have a major issue with any software company that no longer supported Win7. Win7 is approx 50% of the PC's out there . Where did you see that about MYOB & Win7 support ?? Is it on their website anywhere . Do you have a link ( Just for my future reference, and to advise those using MYOB ) Given that Win7 is in the min spec for MYOB, on their website, then that should now be removed as the min spec if they wont support it . Watch MYOB sales drop off if dare they try that :) |
