587599 2007-09-03 23:32:00 Does anyone know of any package or script that can do a scheduled incremtental backup by on a file by file basis? i.e. the backup file is not in a proprietary 'lump'.

The idea is to back up the data to an external drive, in event of emergency, the hard drive can then be plugged into 'any' PC and the same network shares are created and all the PCs can access the same shares as before the problem.

587602 2007-09-04 01:40:00 I've used Syncback (www.2brightsparks.com) for many years. There is still a free version available. PCWORLD always supply it on their monthly DVD too. AvonBill (11358)
