587242 2007-09-03 00:54:00 Hi, there.
whenever i open outlook or thunderbird, my firewall notices me that my antivirus is going to connect to internet. if i allow the connection, my computer becomes very very very very very ...slow. if i deny the connection, i won't receive any email.
Is this normal?

i tried to close antivirus's email monitoring function, but same thing happened.
Any body know why?

thank you very much.

What O/S are you running
When your computer is running very slowly, can you open up the task manager and see what programs appear to be using lots of memory

Does rising have an "active spywear" component as My wifes laptop had trend anti spyware and killing it made an enormous improvement to the computers speed
