587134 2007-09-02 22:47:00 I have received a dvd with video recordings on it.
How do I play it????
I get a mesage that windows media player can not play it because I do not have a mpeg decoder.

Where can I get the decoder ? Preferably for free.

The files are *.bop, *. ifo and *.bob

587135 2007-09-02 23:05:00 Use that vlc media player whatever its called. It seems to play everything else.

Or install something like Powerdvd if u have it, that'll install a codec.

587136 2007-09-02 23:47:00 Yeah, VLC (www.videolan.org).

Also try chucking on k-lite (www.free-codecs.com) codec pack.

Those files sound like a .vob type file, not a 'real' media file (like .avi or .mpeg). Do you know how they were written on the DVD?
