| 587345 | 2007-09-03 04:05:00 | You using WMP 9, 10 or 11? It makes a difference. Going out on a limb again here: I believe that WMP 11 is gonna be the "dump it" update of all time. WMP 11 and nope it ain't in online stores -> Media Guide, either. |

| 587347 | 2007-09-03 05:25:00 | You can have wmp not install URGE by choosing Custom instead of Express when installing - at the last option, you will have options to set URGE as default store or do not setup an online store. Click on Do not setup an online store option and finish the installation player setup. This way, URGE will not be installed. | bevy121 (117) | ||

According to all the reports I have found, URGE is the new online store that M$ are promoting. It's actually an install that can be removed by add/remove programs. If its not in add/remove then try Ccleaner, install and go to tools/uninstall and see if its showing there, or it may even be able to be stopped from the start up menu. I'm in the middle of creating a new Image install, so I might on purpose install URGE and see how to get rid of it - then post back. |
