| 587585 | 2007-09-03 23:12:00 | Hi folks. Am I dumb or something? I have read the other threads but don't seem to have come across this problem. My Outlook email using the Xtra POP3 server now gets about 5 spams daily. In the past it used to be more like 5 a week. But my Xtra Yahoo Bubble web mail brings in between 20 and 30 spams a day. These are different to those picked up on the POP3 server. How come? Help appreciated. Rob |

| 587587 | 2007-09-04 06:31:00 | My understanding of this problem goes something like this. I was on Webmail with Xtra. All spam was caught there, apart from the odd one which got thro. I have not signed up to Bubble. I am getting many spams. If I sign up to Bubble, I will get access to the Spam Filters again. I believe you cannot have the filters unless you have Bubble. I do not want Yahoo on my computer. Spamfighter is now catching most of the Spams & I can look in that folder & delete them. We have had no trouble, so far, with the Xtra changeover thingy. If we do then it is off to Orcon for the full package. Regards PJ |

I do not want Yahoo on my computer . It's not a question of having Yahoo on your computer, it's Yahoo having you on theirs . You don't have to have any of their software on your computer (apart from the usual cookies etc that you get from any website) . |
