588305 2007-09-05 11:04:00 The Office Open XML standards bid failed in the fast track round. Version 3 might work though. The ODF standard took about 600 pages whereas the OOXML standard application took 6,000. Can you imagine wading through that lot and making sense of it. There are certainly a number of issues with it. mikebartnz (21)
588306 2007-09-05 22:39:00 6000 pages would be difficult to make sense of if it made sense in the first place. OOXML would be worse than no standard at all. ODF on the other hand passed this same vote [u]unanimously[u] - it's the first serious international document standard we have. TGoddard (7263)
