And the dev tools are second to none - I have yet to find any firefox extension that even comes close to what Opera can do' *Cough* http://www.codetch.com/ http://www.getfirebug.com/ www.mozilla.org chrispederick.com Opera > Firefox, I don't think so, only if you are not objective in your opinion.*Cough* I am objective - and my comment still stands. Take a look at the opera dev tools sometime, and try doing any kind of serious javascript debugging in Firefox - it's a nightmare. FF seems to have absolutely no concept of what a full traceback is, nor can it give valid line numbers for eval()d code. Opera can. Also note that when I say development I'm not referring to WYSIWYG website editing, I'm talking about proper web applications. While toys like codetch look nice, they lack much of the functionality of a full editor (personally I use kate). Firebug is good up to a point, but IMO still doesn't match up to what opera offers. It's also slow as hell. The web developer toolbar is good, but opera offers everything it has and more. I used to use Firefox exclusively for development, and used Opera only as a browser. Then FoxyMX showed me the Opera dev tools (thank you!) - and I've never looked back. |
