| 589479 | 2007-09-11 03:45:00 | yea sorry - my mistake. I meant Outlook Express access to older hotmail accounts, which as you correctly say, is thru an http server. This (www.tech-faq.com) article also describes it as pop 3 access, even tho it is http connection, and tells you of the cost to have access to newer hotmail accounts thru Outlook etc |

| 589480 | 2007-09-11 22:42:00 | Hmmm I have had my hotmail account since 1998 and i still get the Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error (0x80004005) : 'Outlook's request to the server failed. The server responded 'Access to Hotmail via Outlook and Outlook Express now requires a subscription. Please sign up at join.msn.com ' error if i try and create an account in outlook |

I realise that but it has a lot of my old subscriptions/contacts and is linked with my windows live id thingie, so it has its uses, and it is really handy for testing websites i may create to check that emails to customers with hotmail accounts don't end up in the spam folder (currently it is only xtra customers that are having that issue) |
