589936 2007-09-10 08:20:00 I want to leave Outlook Express on so I can get notified of mail when I get it rather then when I start Outlook .

I'm using Outlook Express 6 & I'm wondering if it's possible to minimize it to the system tray?

If not is there a program that will check on my mail every x amount of minutes?

I'm getting my mail from gmail,
using XP,
On dial-up :badpc:

Thanks in advance
Daniel .

P . S
I'm trying to go to windows update but all I come up with is [Error number: 0x800A1391]

The help centre says to allow
http://* . update . microsoft . com
https://* . update . microsoft . com
http://download . windowsupdate . com

to my trusted sites (IE) which I have done .
I've also added the . windowsupdate . com to Zone Alarm Security suite 7 in the Privacy/Site" target="_blank">download . windowsupdate . com to Zone Alarm Security suite 7 in the Privacy List
. update . microsoft . com, https://* . update . microsoft . com" target="_blank">* . update . microsoft . com, https: can't find these 2 sites .

Anyone else have any ideas on what else I can do to get update working?

Again Thank you all so much
Daniel

589937 2007-09-10 08:27:00 Poptray (http://www.poptray.org) sits in the taskbar, and will scan every few mins (you can set it to whatever).

Just forward your Gmail email to your pop email (from the Gmail site) and poptray will pick it up. if u get any.

Have a look here (support.microsoft.com) for info about that error. Looks like youve been to this site.

Disable ZA for now then see if the WU site works.

You'll have to make OE the default email client, so it opens instead of Outlook.
