| 590916 | 2007-09-13 21:30:00 | I have been trying to find out some basic information regarding my account with slingsh*t for over three weeks now. I ring their number but as I will not wait any longer than 5 minutes or so I never get to speak to anyone, and I have now sent 12 emails to various email addresses there (accounts@, info@ etc etc) and still no repsone. So (a) Does anybody have any tricks or recommendations to get an response (even a non automated response would be a start). (b) Is Presley still the CEO of them as I shall be forwarding all future corrspondence to them (c) Which smaller companires give good customer service cos in my eyes that is as important if not more so than the connection itself. Cheers |

| 590919 | 2007-09-13 22:03:00 | Hi Globe, I am with Slingshot. How basic is the account information you are trying to receive? Have you tried logging in to your account through the slingshot website? May be the basic information you need can be there. | kennie (10559) | ||

You are probably correct in that I could trawl through the my account info section of their website and I shall have a look but i guess at the end of the day it is not difficult for the provider to send an email with this information (especially after 3 weeks of trying). I used to work at air NZ and we have thousands email enquiries a week and managed to get through them within a resonalbe time frame (3 working days I think was the turnaround) |

Maybe you need to change your attitude before blithely becoming angry and try a bit more yourself. Mate, after waiting over 20 minutes on every single previous attempt to get through over the last 12 months or so I don't really see the point on waiting any longer than 5 minutes as I learned from this that the phones don't get answered in what is a reasonable timeframe. Most organisations throughout the world have targets to answer 95% of calls within 2 minutes maximum as they have standards they try to achieve and work hard to meet them. Slingsh*t obviously don't have these benchmarks as they probably don't give a toss once they have people signed up to a contract. I have not tried ringing the new customer line but I am pretty sure that would get answered pretty damn quickly but then all they would do is transfer you back to the other queue as it is "somebody else's problem". SO after trawling through the account info pages on their website as has been suggested, sending numerous emails what would you suggest I do rather than get annoyed ? |
