590610 2007-09-13 07:11:00 OK Ive made a different one default and it changes nothing.

One interesting thing I noticed when this started going wrong yesterday morning was that when its starts to check this particular email addy .. its says above the download line *securing* and then immediately fails, instead of connecting, authorising etc. Now Ive checked all the security stuff .. which I keep to a minimum .. nutting!

590611 2007-09-13 07:14:00 I don't think its the ISP Connections directly , if 4 of the 5 work, then its something to do with the account in question.

Look in the settings and make sure the SSL is not ticked anyware. It looks like Its looking for a secure Protocol thats not there.

Who ever does the web site,if thats what you are connecting to hasn't changed the security have they ?

Look in the settings and under the Servers tab, check to see if "My Server Requires Authentication" is ticked or unticked, what ever it is reverse it.
See if that helps.

590612 2007-09-13 09:14:00 Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Secure(SSL): Yes
Secure SSL does not use port 110
Either select the correct number or disable SSL

I wish - Good you got it fixed.

Local Host setting is sometimes caused by the Antivirus.
