590600 2007-09-12 23:29:00 Ive looked, done a search for this error in the forum.
Nothing jumps out, and a lot is beyond me being able to underconstumble.

I use OE .. run XP pro .. AVG (though I have email turned off cos my site checks for viruses etc) windows f/w.

Error occcured yesterday morning, lappy was switched off the night before, when I turned it on yesterday morning, one out of 5 email addys it wont check.

The emails all come out of our website, its the default one that wont come down. Ive checked the tools/accounts settings. Nothing showing wrong there.

What say ye all? :badpc:

590603 2007-09-12 23:49:00 I have been to that m/s help page, several times.
I get through it to the confusing stuff and the blond in me takes over!

How come it brings the others and not the default one??

What?
What "default" one? Default emial? Whats a default email?

I guess you mean it it tries to retrieve one in particular at which point you get the error?

Read it on webmail, then delete it and see if you still have a problem .

590605 2007-09-13 05:33:00 error 0x800ccc0f ---- What is the rest of the error message, there appears to be some of it missing, normally it gives a brief description , like "server Connection Failure" that error message has many possible fixes / causes, it needs to be pin pointed the exact one.

But the code mainly points to connection problems with the server.

See This (main.webeddy.com) page and see if any of the fixes work or relate to your problem.

If you can get it to do it, please post back the exact whole message.

590606 2007-09-13 05:57:00 PCTEK .. this is the full error msg ..

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'heinz57@aoteatourism.co.nz', Server: 'mail.aoteatourism.co.nz', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

By default I mean, I have 5 email addys through the website, it clears all of them except the one designated default email. Its the main email addy.

I have checked them out through the site, deleted all there and its still doing it.

Moving on to check wainuis thoughts. :D

590607 2007-09-13 06:01:00 oo ok .. wainui .. thats a copy of the microsoft pages suggestions.
Ive checked through them, done all the settings again.

If i was to delete this account and set it up again. I use the software on the site to have OE pick the email up. If i do that and set the email to OE again .. will that sort it out?

I have checked the settings, they are all the same.

590608 2007-09-13 06:33:00 Hmmmm ok all work but the 1 .

Ok just a suggestion it may have no affect what so ever, but try making one of the others the default, then see if the one that wasn't working works or not .

Its losing the connection / timing out for some reason .

Removing the account and replacing it may fix it, sometimes for reasons unknown even though all settings are correct things dont work .

As speedy asked, whos your ISP?

590609 2007-09-13 07:02:00 Our ISP is NATCOM .. we are on satellite Lovelee (6586)
