| 590589 | 2007-09-12 22:38:00 | We have a eMachines M5312 which will not boot. The owner tells me he was watching a DVD Movie & it just died. When the power buttom is pushed, the power light comes on & stays on. Nothing else, no sound at all & nothing on screen. Holding the power button on does nothing. The power light then remains on until the battery is removed. There is no difference running AC or battery. HD apears ok, I have slaved it to another pc for data recovery. Firstly: any ideas Secondly: Is there a service centre in NZ for eMachines. |

| 590592 | 2007-09-13 10:37:00 | No I didn't try that. It wasn't making the usual sound laptops make when you 1st push the start button so I never considered that a posibility. I have given it back to the owner & suggested he find a reputable laptop reparer. |
