From all the PC Company PC's I have worked on that is not an actual restore partition. The so Called "restore CD" they supplied was actually a XP CD, drivers may be on another CD. If you look in the C: Drive in a hidden folder is normally the drivers for that PC.

I had a tech add an extra optical drive to my PC Co computer, (before I started mucking round with computers) and the next time I went to format and run a new install, the CD wouldn't do the install Myth (110)
590311 2007-09-12 07:54:00 I've had several of the PC Company CD's not work, or get part way through and then error messages left right and center, saying couldn't find certain files, yet when you point to the I386 folder they are there, just not readable - so I use another XP CD, and the productkey thats on the case & all the ones that did work loaded windows with no drivers, apart from standard MS supplied drivers.

Also had several times when actually using the preinstalled Product key MS saying its not a valid key (phone activation). Drivers were not hard to find they mainly used ECS Boards.

If it was a proper recovery CD all drivers would be loaded for the PC concerned, and there is no need to manually put in the product code. Ive done over 30 PC company PC's and not one had a proper recovery CD or partition.

What made me smile a couple of times was a comment from the Mr's. She loves the colour Purple - ECS board sitting on the bench - Nice colour!
