An error occurred while loading www.google.co.nz Timeout on server Connection was to www.google.co.nz at port 80 |

Yeah you right the connection is dog slow. Dodgy underground phone cables in this street and the crappy 0867. I've rewired the house to eliminate problems there with no difference. I have never had problems with Google before though and that is why I wondered if they had altered something and they have. Their IP has changed from 66.102.7.147 to 72.14.253.147. I thought I had commented out google from my hosts file but hadn't.:blush: A ping to forums.pcworld.co.nz averaged 356.986. |

| 591441 | 2007-09-16 10:21:00 | You could try changing it to google.com instead of google... nz the addy is: www.google.com/ncr to make it default instead of the NZ site. Having said that even the google.com site was a bit slow in the last few weeks. |

| 591443 | 2007-09-16 11:39:00 | Ok, it definitely doesn't do that for me. I end up reaching the proper international www.google.com page. Have you tried just using the search box built into FF to search on Google and see if that is any faster rather than manually having to go to its webpage? |
