591135 2007-09-14 07:06:00 I'm trying to come up with a list of all the songs (with their artists) I have in my iTunes so I can copy and paste (most important part lol) and find the albums, and then, get cover art for them.

Is there a way just to get a full text list of everything?

591136 2007-09-14 07:13:00 A lot of the album art is actually available from the iTunes store (as long as you have an account there.)

If you click in iTunes and select all then paste into any text edit app you should be able to print out aaal the details - but that would be the loooong way round.

591137 2007-09-14 07:17:00 Well you see, I don't have ANY albums listed for my songs. I'm just finding a general album art for the artist (just their name/pic, not actual album) ...that should work. --Wolf-- (128)
591138 2007-09-14 07:25:00 Have you got an iTunes account?
If so you can right click on the blank CD cover of the selected song and choose "get album artwork" then if it is available it will automatically download it for you. otherwise you can probably scan in the artwork from the CD covers if you have them.

591139 2007-09-14 07:53:00 Hmm, maybe I'll say again, none of my songs have albums listed to them. Unless iTunes can detect what song is from what album, then I'm SOL. --Wolf-- (128)
591140 2007-09-14 08:01:00 iTunes gets the artist/album name etc from the Grace Note CBBD data base online.

Are the tracks in your iTunes play list loaded as track1, track2, track3 etc or are they named?
If they are loaded as track1 etc you need to click and hi lite the songs then go to the Advance tab in your menu bar and scroll down to select Get CD Track Names and let iTunes do the rest.

If you right click on the blank CD image in Cover Flow and choose get album art work from the menu and see if iTunes finds anything- it will be a bit hit and miss. As for the rest of it you might have to scan the art work in from CD covers. Good luck.

Can you post an example of what you have regarding artist and track/album name?

591143 2007-09-14 08:41:00 Hmm...lets say I'm not a regular of buying albums, or cds.

Basically, all my itunes show is:

Dammnit 2:45 Blink 182

Am just googling the artists names and finding things like:

www.wallpaperbase.com

To go instead with the artist. I'll just group all artists together, rather than albums (but I'll make it like a album)

591144 2007-09-14 09:13:00 Have you got your iTunes preferences set to show Genre, group compilations like this
www.imagef1.net.nz

It is a long way around but you can use the search feature in iTunes music store to give you the full album name which you can then add to the meta tag for the file in iTunes. Bit fiddly though.

Did you pick up your original tracks off Limewire?
