| 592030 | 2007-09-18 09:48:00 | Oh, and exactly what ESD (anti-static) precautions did you take when you were building the machine? | Deane F (8204) | ||
| 592031 | 2007-09-18 10:56:00 | So, just to confirm, you've run a memory tester for 24 hours for each stick, and it passed? And there is no connector on the back or top-back of the video card? Check that the video card is well seated, and that the ATX 12V connector (4-pin near the CPU) is plugged in. It sounds like it could be a faulty video card, but those temperatures are rather high. When you removed and replaced the CPU, did you correctly apply thermal paste after removing the original paste? |

| 592032 | 2007-09-19 01:33:00 | I checked the connections swapped all the cables adn they are still the same problem So, just to confirm, you've run a memory tester for 24 hours for each stick, and it passed? And there is no connector on the back or top-back of the video card?(yes thats correct) |

| 592039 | 2007-09-19 07:22:00 | Yeah his PC is all fine - and the 8600GT doesn't take enough power to warrant the need for a separate connector | Agent_24 (57) | ||
