| 592443 | 2007-09-18 22:27:00 | I have been trying to install a downloaded version of Open Office for Linux but after trying all sorts of things I am totally confused and have not succeeded. The file I downloaded is OOo_2.2.1_Linuxintel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar[1].gz Do I need a special extractor programme? I am using Xandros, can anyone point me in the right direction, say a step by step method. Thanks, PeterA |

I hightly doubt that you will actually need that tarball you have downloaded. Edit: I've just done a quick search - the tool you should be using for this is called 'Xandros Networks'. |
