2007-09-18 06:26:00 | As most of you probably know, the iPod Touch coming out at the end of the month has wi-fi and I have a wireless router (or modem, w/e you wanna call it) BUT I don't use anything wireless with it atm, everything is connected by Ethernet cables. So, how do I got about setting up a wireless network around my house. This is probably as simple as reading the manual, which I don't have, but last time I tried to use wireless with a old laptop card I had (lonngg time ago) it would connect for a few seconds, drop, connect, repeat. Then not long after that I tried again and it simply would not connect. So basically, how do I securely set it up solely for the ipod, in which it's 'specs' are: Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) Thanks.

2007-09-18 06:34:00 | Well since noone here has an Ipod touch I dont think we can tell u how to set it up. It'll most probably be the same as any other wireless device.

2007-09-18 06:40:00 | Uh...what? I just wanna setup a wireless network that is the right...setting? for the ipod touch.. | --Wolf-- (128) | |
2007-09-18 06:44:00 | have you currently got a Wireless transmitter/modem that your iPod will connect to? If not you can always use an Airport from Apple. Either way the setup from the iPod Touch will be very straight forward and probably take about 5-10 minutes.

2007-09-18 06:45:00 | I've heard that, yes. Like I said in my post, my modem is wireless (D-link G604t) I have absolutely nothing to do with wireless set up atm.

2007-09-18 06:46:00 | Well when you get your iPod Touch, read the manual and do as it says. :) It should be fairly quick and easy. | winmacguy (3367) | |
2007-09-18 06:52:00 | Oh man, maybe it needs bold. I DO NOT HAVE A WIRELESS NETWORK SET UP ON MY MODEM What settings do I need (ON THE MODEM) to make it work with the Touch?

2007-09-18 06:59:00 | Well WAIT until you get the Ipod, so we KNOW what the Ipod Touch has in its settings. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2007-09-18 07:19:00 | But why do I need to know what it has in it's settings? I just need to set up a wireless network that works with 802.11b/g....whatever that means. As long as it works with the above, I shouldn't need any more info from the ipod itself.
