| 593925 | 2007-09-23 02:53:00 | Wow, so much work just for a simple job. Give me Windows Media center anyday or a 360Well, all in all, I have learnt quite a bit, the media centre cost me $100 (for the graphics card), and its child proof, and won't freeze randomly :D Win win situation really :) I also dual boot Gentoo with GeeXbox Addition: by child proof, I mean there is no way in heck she can screw with permissions etc. My child is capable of... turning on a windows machine, waiting for the bootup, getting her Dora cd from the shelf, opening the cd drawer, putting the cd in, closing the drawer, double clicking the icon on the desktop to start the autorun for Dora, turning on the speakers so she can have sound, adjusting the volume, and then doing the activities. She also knows where dad keeps his screwdriver, and is capable of unscrewing all the screws for the keyboard she uses. Not bad for a 3 year old :p She amazes even me, now do you see why I wanted a dumb terminal? |
