What are you trying to Compress ?

Files - in general, Music - WAV to MP3

Or simply "zipped files"

Theres a free zipping program in my sig if thats what you mean.

593802 2007-09-22 02:57:00 Don't put a lot of files in the folder, and dont make pics so big!

It depends on WHAT format you're saving pics in, and their resolution, on how big they'll be.

These two programs will resize images and are both free

Image REsizer (www.vso-software.fr) and Image resizer Download (download.microsoft.com) < From Microsoft XP powertoys MS Site (www.microsoft.com)

The zipping program in my sig works much the same as Winzip (which is good) but Winzip is meant to be a paid program. -trial version will work, but you keep getting bugged by wanting to pay for it.

593804 2007-09-22 04:00:00 You can't compress .jpg's and .mp3's, they already are, that is the whole point of these formats.

Here is a good free "compressor":

100% correct  , about all you can do with the .jpgs and mp3's are resize for the pictures, or lower kbps in the mp3's then the quality is not as good.

You can't compress images, you can only save them down to a smaller file size. If you need to send large sized images somewhere that are too big to email you can either FTP them or burn to disk and courier them.
