| 593875 | 2007-09-22 00:01:00 | Hi Guys My present case is a Thermaltake Aquilla. It looks great and the opening swing side (see thru) is great. But it was very hard to install the motherboard, the screws would not fit in and the hard drives were very hard to install. I am planning a new PC and want one that is easy to work on, ie drive cages access to motherboard etc. Any suggestions. (I will buy my own power supply.) Regards Digby |

| 593876 | 2007-09-22 01:52:00 | How much do you want to spend? The Lian Li cases are superb for working on, and they are nice and quiet, but they are pricey. They have plastic lining on the cut outs so you don't cut your hands on sharp edges, and you just slide drives in and lock them without the need for screws etc. Great airflows as well. You might like to have a look here, and elsewhere on TomsHardware site for reviews and comparisons: www.tomshardware.com I have a Lian Li case and don't regret the extra $ to buy it. |

The screws that came with it would not start into the hole in the case. I had to get a pair of pliers and force them into the holes. So in my mind it was piss poor, and their is not much room in some areas to get a pair of pliers in so I had to leave the screws out ! Regards Digby |

Doesn't sound like the right screws... Oh yes, Lian Li are great for working with (compared to all the other nasty designs I've seen at work at least). |

Even the most rubbish case comes with the correct risers and screws. You did put the risers in first? Then you have several types of screw. Some are for the motherboard, some for optical drives, some for HDDs. You need to use the right ones. |
